As an MOS Chapter President, I have been asked to implement "Best Practices" with respect to Bird Club Activities. It appears that membership statewide is down and we in fact have a net loss of 2 members (6 leaving and 4 joining). I e-mailed Linda Keenan and got a digital copy of the letter I received. I've posted it here for folks to look at. Some of the suggestions in the letter include:

1. Offering more Field Trips to new and exciting places.
2. Having refreshments at our meetings (not sure if the Library allows this one).
3. Providing a regular newsletter.
4. Spreading news about our meetings by word of mouth.

There is a lot more information in the letter so read the attached document and list of "Best Practices". I'm interested in knowing what suggestions you have for making our club better.
