What a wonderful bird is the pelican - Monthly Meeting

The speaker will be Dave Brinker and the topic is Brown Pelicans. The title of the talk is “What a wonderful bird is the pelican ...: Brown Pelicans in Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay”. Dave will talk about an ongoing project that involves banding Pelicans on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Contact J.B. Monthly Meeting - Birding in Wales

Tuesday April 10th, 2007 – Monthly Meeting 7 P.M. Allegany County Main Library, 31 Washington St., Cumberland, (301) 777-1200. Located across the St. from the Board of Ed. Bldg.
The speaker will be Michael Bowen and the topic will be “Birding in Wales”. Mike Bowen will give an overview of some outstanding natural areas of his native Wales. Using both photos and audio clips, he will quickly review the nearly 200 bird species known to occur in one of Britain's most scenic regions. Mike will also recommend books and other resources that visiting birders should find useful. Contact Barbara Gaffney or J.B. Churchill for more information.
