Allegany May Count Results '08

The Allegany May Count tallied 120 species and 3050 individuals. We had 8 participants in 7 parties and a total of 46.5 party hours. The ratio of species to hours is pretty good (almost 2.6 species per party hour) proving once again that it doesn't take a lot of effort to have fun birding !

Some tough misses include Vesper Sparrow, Savannah Sparrow, Ruffed Grouse, American Kestrel, and Brown Creeper. We did get some tough ones including a new species for the count (White-rumped Sandpiper).

Thanks for participating,
